Fun Facts

I was going MAD yesterday sitting in my room with nothing to do, and the wifi was down all day, I was bored out of my mind... So I woke up Michelle in the room nexT door and said "YOU'RE GOING TO SEE DESPICABLE ME 2 WITH ME!" to which she responded with "Alright alright!! You bloody Americans are bonkers you know that?!" Just kidding. She said "Alright, I wanted to see that film."

We walked to the Lakeside Mall (basically has everything including grocery stores and the movie theatre) saw Despicable Me 2 (which I really liked) and then we walked home afterwards. I still couldn't get the wifi to work (which was really pissing me off because I wanted to talk to my boyfriend and I never got to *sadface*) So Michelle and I went for another walk to the park down the road and here are some fun facts I learned from her:

-Tasmania has the strictest gun laws in the world. You aren't allowed to have handguns, and a few years back if you had any guns that were deemed "illegal" you had to turn them in (Scary huh Papa??) Michelle said this was a bummer for her family because they are farmers and need their guns. We had a long talk and she sounds like a conservative republican to me ;)
- "Mate" has actually been BANNED as a word in some states here! Its banned in Tasmania and if you're caught saying it you can be fined and scolded. (Michelle said its part of their effort to become politically correct)
-Australians just throw all their rubbish (garbage) on the curb and people can go through it and take what they want. No goodwill stores here! You just walk house to house and gather whatever is on the curb if you want it (Annie there was some stuff with REAL potential that I almost saved for you *wink*)

That's all I can remember for now. I know I'm forgetting tons of things. Michelle tells me all the words and what they mean but I've forgotten most of them already. Except for feral haha that one always makes me laugh. I think a slang word for toilet is 'Donnie' or something? That's a banned word too...

I have pictures but I am too lazy to load them right now and it will probably make my tempermental wifi crash anyway... It's 2:17 am monday morning... I am never going to get on a normal sleep schedule AAAAHHHHHH
