Welcome to UNI!

That's the other slang word I forgot to tell you guys about.

Ever since I got here my driver that took me from the airport to my dorm, Michelle, the staff, orientation personnel, the crows, the ducks, the kangaroos, my roommates, everyone keeps talking about the UNI.

I'm over here like "Hmmm... uni means one. So its "the one," or one of something... Maybe its the bus or the train? Like how in France they call the subway "the Metro" maybe the train or bus here is called the "UNI?"

The UNI is short for the UNIVERSITY. As in the school. Haha! I can't believe I didn't put that together!

I've noticed Australian people have a formula for naming things. Cut it in half, and add an I

University? NOOOOOPE Its the UNI.
Tasmania? NOOOOOPE It's Tasi.
Movie? NOOOOPE It's Movi!

Oh wait....
