Anberlin!

By a happy set of unfortunate circumstances (if that's possible) I got to go see Anberlin, a band I love, in Fremantle last Wednesday 9/11/13.

My friend Marcus had 3 tickets to go to Anberlin and the people he was originally supposed to go with couldn't make it anymore, so he had to find 2 people to go with him or he was going to go alone. He was texting Reearna about the concert and asked her if she would like to go (even though she didn't know anything about the bands) and she said yes. Later, when she told me she was going to a concert I asked her who she was seeing and she said "Umm... The Maine and Anberlin??"

My jaw dropped! I said, "Are you SERIOUS!!! I LOVE THEM!" and then she texted Marcus and asked if I could come since I loved the bands and he said "Yeah, I can work something out!"

Behold, I had the golden ticket!

You can tell I'm not excited...

Ree and I had to get ready in 10 minutes and run to the train station to meet Marcus in Leederville, where he would pick us up and drive us to Fremantle. It was DUMPING rain (I took a video, we'll see if I can get it to work on here) and we got to the venue early (before the doors opened) to ensure we got to see all the bands. There were 4 in total and I enjoyed all of them except one.

Seeing the Maine was great, as I like their music but the lead singer was trashed and that made me lose respect for them as a band, and as performers.

The anticipation to see Anberlin was driving me INSANE. From the time that Marcus said he had a ticket for me (5pm) til Anberlin took the stage (10:30pm) I was so excited!!!!!

They put on an absolutely AMAZING show. I was so impressed and so happy and excited and just a bursting ball of excitement!!! They played many of the songs that I love and everything about it was wonderful. I got to go to a concert, in a "foreign country," with my best friend here, to a band that I LOVE! What more could a girl ask for?!

It was by far the best night I have had in Australia yet. :)

Ree and Marcus

My excited face haha :)

Thank you Marcus!

They ROCK! Trev gave me one of their CDs and I love their stuff! You LUCKY!! It sounds like they were professional (no trashed lead singer)... And that's what you wanna see!
Awesome!
(Way to get to the train on time too!)
Love you!
